City staff presented formal recognition to residents and volunteers who helped extend the Central Park stage in advance of the recent Country Fair Days festivities. Dave named the donors — Paul Sturm, Ryan Roper, Rod Westbrook, Aaron Westbrook and Keith Christiansen — and said a plaque will be placed at the stage to memorialize this summer’s donations.
The mayor and council members praised the volunteers’ community spirit; the mayor noted the project would not have moved forward until a specific resident stepped forward with a donation. Staff also handed out passes to the FAC as a token of appreciation.
