Dana, the stormwater presenter, said the audit led to 23 new or revised SOPs and emphasized the need for training, documentation and routine inspections. She summarized the MS4minimum control measures and stressed the simple rule that guides illicit-discharge policy: "rain down the drain only." Council members asked questions about priority inspection areas, how industrial permits (such as at gravel pits) intersect with municipal responsibilities, and whether real-time monitoring could help address off-site dust and runoff from nearby gravel operations.
After the presentation and training, council voted to adopt the updated stormwater management plan. Staff were directed to post the updated plan online, maintain the requested documentation, and follow up on coordination with industrial permit holders as needed.
