In the district status report on Dec. 10, the general manager told the Los Olivos board that Wallace Group’s 30% design and related environmental contracts are progressing on schedule and within budget.
The manager also reported that the district’s annual audit (firm: MLH Moss DB Hart) is ongoing and that staff are collecting transient occupancy tax and other local revenue data to build a funding case for county or state support. “The Wallace Group on the 30% design is on environmental those contracts are proceeding on schedule and on budget,” the manager said in his update.
Staff reported that obtaining a federal unique entity identifier (UEI) was challenging due to the district’s lack of a physical address but that the issue had been resolved. The manager also stated that the district currently has about $419,000 in checking accounts and noted upcoming property tax receipts that will increase available funds for design and operations.
Board members discussed next steps for assessment approaches, allocation methodologies for capacity, and timing for a possible Prop 218 vote. The manager proposed presentations and workshops early next year to help the board and public consider allocation alternatives and financing strategies.
