Pharr announces summer events lineup and volunteer opportunities

Highlights included Pharr City Limits (free concerts at the City Hall Amphitheater), a volunteer 'trash off' on Aug. 8 (meeting at the Pharr Baseball Complex) and Sneaker Fest at Pepe Salinas Recreation Center on Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff said registration and vendor sign-up are available via the city’s Facebook page and QR codes, and phone assistance was offered.
The library will host Lucha Libros on Aug. 16 at the DRC with authors, vendors and live pro wrestling; doors open at 5 p.m. Staff encouraged students and residents to volunteer for events and noted opportunities to earn community service hours.
