Abbot Public Library lines up Marblehead 250 events, author talks and summer exhibits

Library staff presented a slate of summer programs at the June 1 meeting, including a Marblehead 250 local-history lecture by Town Historian Donald Doliber on Captain Samuel Russell Trevett and author events featuring Meg Waite Clayton and Phyllis Karas.
The library will partner with Road Scholar to broadcast two virtual seminars (a D-Day retrospective with Dr. Spencer Jones and an aging-well workshop with Luanne Mullin). The Carten Gallerys summer exhibit "In the Garden" opens with a reception on Monday, June 8; the library noted community drop-in offerings including tech tutoring and mental health resource walk-in hours.
