Library director flags FY27 uncertainty, to request $15,000 from foundation if override fails

At the June 1 meeting director Kimberly Grad said the library cannot take further FY27 budget actions until election results are known and that she will request $15,000 from the Abbot Public Library Foundation (APLF) to support programming, marketing, licensing, technology and professional development.
"The director plans to request $15,000 from APLF to support programming, marketing, licensing, technology and professional development," the minutes state. The board discussed program resourcing and noted the maintenance budget has been fully incurred; town authorization to access reserve funds was estimated at roughly $4,500, excluding elevator and glass repairs.
