The Harwinton Public Library Board of Directors recorded the following formal actions at its Aug. 3, 2026 meeting:

Mover: Everett Lyons; Second: Andrea Fitzpatrick; Outcome: unanimous approval. - Approve up to $800 from the annual fund for office-suite software. Mover: Debbie Janssens; Second: Everett Lyons; Outcome: unanimous approval. - Approve purchase of coffee table for $1,205. (Recorded in Director's Report.) Outcome: approved. - Approve $175 ARSL institutional membership from annual fund. The board noted a Beck Family donation of $3,000 designated for large-print books and Thomaston Savings Bank's contribution of $2,000 toward the same purpose. A CT DEEP/State Library laptop program was described; the board approved pursuing laptop circulation (motion made by Everett Lyons, seconded by John Duffy) and agreed to review applicant eligibility and training plans.
