The board discussed the library's art program Aug. 3 and approved raising the art-sales commission from 20% to 25%. Art committee members reported the current exhibit includes work by 11 artists but said openings generally see small attendance; Andrea Fitzpatrick asked the board to explore ways to make events more visible. The card and book commission rates will remain unchanged.
The motion to raise the art-sales commission was made by Everett Lyons, seconded by Debbie Janssens, and passed unanimously. The board also asked for samples and color options for signage from Sign-Pro related to property/building work.
