At a Feb. 18 combined work session, the South Ogden City Council and Planning Commission discussed catalytic projects identified in the city's General Plan and instructed staff to gather public input through a survey to set priorities.
Planner Alika Murphy facilitated the conversation and the group heard an update from City Manager Dixon about his conversations with property owners in the city center area. After revisiting the catalytic projects topic, council and commission members agreed to ask staff to distribute a public survey to help determine which projects should be prioritized in future planning and budgeting.
The instruction to prepare and send a survey was the principal outcome of the discussion; no ordinance or budget appropriation was adopted at the session. Next steps noted by staff included drafting the survey and returning with results and possible project phasing options at a future meeting.
