Council retains existing vision statement in annual plan

During the Jan. 31 strategic planning meeting, City Manager Matt Dixon led a review of the City’s vision statement as part of the broader priorities workshop. The minutes record that a majority of council members agreed the vision statement should remain the same as in previous years; that agreement arose during the table report phase of the session.
The vision-statement decision was procedural and did not include implementation actions in the minutes. Councilors continued to work through other priorities and initiatives after confirming the vision statement would remain unchanged; detailed notes and posted ideas from the table exercise are included as photos in Attachment B and the audio recording linked in the minutes.
