Oconto County committee awards timber-sale contracts and OKs extensions, direct sales for unsold tracts

During public comment, Josh Schmitt asked the committee to table awarding or direct-selling one tract that is adjacent to the Machickanee Ski Trails, citing volunteer stewardship and trail concerns. The committee also moved (Scanlan/Cole) to extend contracts expiring May 30, 2026, and to increase stumpage rates as discussed in the attached contract-extension report; that motion carried.
