During its Oct. 21 meeting, the Waynesville finance committee reviewed and recorded a series of planned capital set‑asides and line‑item amounts submitted by staff. Mrs. Morley listed figures for several projects and equipment requests that the committee will consider in upcoming budget work.
Items Mrs. Morley reviewed included: $250,000 for a stoplight (noted as likely reimbursable when the village applies for CVT funding), $80,000 for storm drains, $20,000 for police vests and tasers, $60,000 for a new police car, $80,000 for sidewalks, $300,000 for Franklin Phase 2, $60,000 for the water line from Well 10, $20,000 for new valves, and $28,000 for new hydrants. She also noted the Streets Department requested approximately $5,000–$6,000 for its needs. "$250,000 for the stoplight and that should be reimbursed when we apply for the CVT money," Mrs. Morley said.
Committee members did not finalize appropriations for all items at the meeting; several amounts were described as set‑asides or planned requests to be incorporated into the next budget cycle or submitted for grant reimbursement where applicable.
