Box Elder County audit found no discrepancies in Willard City returns, official says

Willard City election officials reported that Box Elder County completed post-election auditing for the Nov. 4 municipal election and found no discrepancies in the randomly selected samples.
Deputy Recorder Michelle Drago told the Board that the county audit reviewed 255 ballots and 88 signatures selected by the Lt. Governor. "The 255 ballots selected were compared with Cast Vote Record in Electionware. She reported that the votes matched. The 88 voter signatures selected were compared with the signatures on file in Vista. She reported that the signatures matched," the meeting record states.
Drago also reviewed provisional and signature-audit procedures. The transcript and county paperwork indicate 45 provisional ballots were counted at the county level and that signature audits were performed on multiple batches; Box Elder County's canvass statistics reported 47 provisional ballots issued and 45 counted for the county overall.
City officials said they followed the noticing and reporting required by Utah state code during the canvass. The Board accepted the county-submitted results and certified the official tabulation at the Nov. 18 meeting.
