Staff presented multiple operational items affecting parks, street surfaces and water service at the Sept. 3 meeting. Chief Copeland said the Village Charter allows the municipality to provide water to parks at half the current rate but that adopting that rate would require an ordinance and affirmative votes from six of seven council members; Bicentennial Park had been handled this way previously.
Chief Copeland also said staff had collected quotes for replacing Main Street pavers with concrete at the MOMS Committee's request, reported a recent in-house repair of a service waterline break on Ferry Road, and noted discussions about possibly extending the water line on Bellbrook Road from Thomas Drive. He added the Street Department had received 100 tons of salt that evening, bringing inventory to roughly 200 tons for the coming winter.
