Waynesville reports Third Street paving, OPWC reimbursement steps and Franklin Phase II preconstruction meeting

Public Works and the Village Manager reported a series of infrastructure updates at the Sept. 3 council meeting. Chief Copeland said Third Street has been paved and striped and that the Village received the final report from OPWC for the ODR grant; that report must be submitted to secure reimbursement, and the project was completed at no cost to village taxpayers, according to the minutes.
Chief Copeland also said he scheduled a preconstruction meeting with SmithCorp for Franklin Phase II and that the application for the OPWC Fourth Street grant has been submitted. Council acknowledged these project steps and the need to follow OPWC reimbursement procedures before funds are recorded.
