Council schedules Oct. 7 public hearing, gives first reading to solar-energy zoning ordinance

The Village Council scheduled a public hearing for Oct. 7, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. to consider solar panel code language forwarded by the Planning Commission, with the regular council meeting to follow. At the Sept. 3 meeting Council also gave first reading to Ordinance No. 2024-029, which adopts various sections of the zoning code regarding solar energy systems.
Mr. Zack Gallagher explained that the proposed zoning provisions came from numerous Planning Commission meetings. The hearing will provide an opportunity for residents to comment before the council considers subsequent readings or adoption of the ordinance. No vote on final adoption was taken at the Sept. 3 meeting.
