The Village of Sheffield board voted Feb. 11 to approve personnel changes and pay adjustments that take effect with the March 15, 2025 pay period. The approved package implements 3% raises for employees Andrew Lanxon, Paulsen and Ries; a $1-per-hour raise for Officer Horrie; a $25 annual increase for Treasurer Nikki Lanxon; and a 3% raise for Jacob Smith.
Trustee Adams moved to approve President Lanham's recommendations and Trustee Pratt seconded. The motion passed on roll call 5-0. The board also adopted a personnel policy change eliminating comp time for hourly full-time employees and committing to pay standard overtime for hours worked over 40 in a work week.
The action follows an executive session the board held under 5 ILCS 120/2(c) for personnel matters. The board did not provide individual starting salaries in the public minutes; the record lists percentage and per-hour adjustments and the effective date.
