Health department reviews DATCP water-lab audit, radon map and WIC changes

Health Officer Amy Kleiber told the board that the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) conducted a water-lab audit in June 2025 and that the department shared the audit results with the board. Kleiber also displayed a radon interactive map and said the health department submitted a community-impact grant application with UW Extension and Stonehouse Counseling Services to fund a community health worker for domestic-violence support; the final application is due July 23. The board received a WIC update: the six-month closeout was completed, farmers-market vouchers are being issued, and the WIC food package will change effective Sept. 29, 2025.
