Sid's Pantry seeks approval for Sept. 26 5K starting at Concord School; board raises no objections

Heidi Zhang, speaking on behalf of Sid's Pantry at the Concord Health Center, asked the Select Board for permission to hold a 5K on September 26 beginning at Concord School and routing along Cross Breck Street to Hudson Road and back. "They would like the, 5 ks to start at Concord School and go down Cross Breck Street to Hudson Road and move back over Cross Road back to the school," Zhang said and added that the organizers will provide insurance and no food trucks are planned.
Board members said they did not see any issues with the route and that similar events have been done before. The request will be processed through the town's event-permit channels; no formal vote was required at the meeting and the board indicated staff should proceed with usual permitting steps.
