The village approved a resolution accepting a permanent municipal utility easement and temporary construction easement to relocate and upsize an existing 50‑year‑old water main along Park Shore, replacing mixed 6‑ and 8‑inch ductile iron pipe with a 12‑inch PVC main. Staff said the existing run is routed through Shorewood Plaza near the front doors of Corrigan's restaurant and proposed relocation along a shared eastern property line with the Jewel Shopping Center. Attorney review of the easement agreement was completed and staff recommended approval.
Public works noted the village has been working with the property owners (the Micah family) and that both temporary construction and permanent easements are necessary to secure rights for construction and ongoing maintenance. Trustees approved the resolution on roll call.
