Board raises substitute teacher and nurse pay, adopts policies for internet devices and student board member
Summary
The Board approved higher pay rates for substitute teachers effective Sept. 1, 2025 (uncertified $122/day; certified $132/day; retired substitutes tiered) and raised substitute nurse pay to $32.50 effective July 1, 2025. The Board also adopted policies #1050 and #2100.
The Camden Central School District Board approved an increase in substitute teacher pay effective Sept. 1, 2025: uncertified substitutes $122 per day, certified substitutes $132 per day, CCSD retired substitutes $142 per day (and $164 per day if working more than five consecutive days in the same position). The motion passed unanimously.
The Board also approved raising the rate for substitute nurses to $32.50 effective July 1, 2025. In the same meeting the Board approved the first reading, waived the second reading, and adopted Board Policies #1050 (Ex Officio Student Board Member) and #2100 (Internet-Enabled Devices).
These actions were adopted by unanimous vote and recorded in the minutes as part of the consent and policy items for the 2025–26 year.
