The Camden Central School District Board approved a resolution authorizing participation in the NYSMEC cooperative bidding process for electricity procurement and delegated authority to Purchasing Agent Karen Jones to sign the agreement and billing schedules on the district’s behalf. The resolution authorizes the Administrative Participant to award contracts on behalf of the district to the lowest responsible bidder with pricing not to exceed $0.094 per kWh for traditional pass-through energy price or $0.107 per kWh for a fixed price, for contract terms of at least one year and no more than three years, commencing May 1, 2026.
The resolution also authorizes receipt of electronic bids under General Municipal Law Section 103(1) and empowers district officers to execute confirming agreements and take actions necessary to implement the procurement. The motion carried unanimously.
