Camden Central School District elects board leaders and appoints district clerk
Summary
At its July 15 organizational meeting the Camden Central School District Board elected Mrs. Swancott as president and Mr. Mitchell as vice president for 2025–26 and appointed Mrs. Adja Williams as District Clerk; oaths of office were administered and officer compensation and terms were recorded.
Mrs. Swancott was elected Board President and Mr. Mitchell was elected Vice President for the term July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 during the Camden Central School District Board’s organizational meeting on July 15. The votes were unanimous; oaths of office were administered following the elections.
Mrs. Adja Williams was appointed Clerk of the Board and District Clerk for July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, with compensation of $9,250. The minutes record that Mrs. Williams was administered the Oath of Office by President Stone; Karen Jones was named alternate District Clerk with no additional compensation. The board also confirmed that Oaths of Office had been administered earlier to Mr. Carpenter and Mr. Mitchell effective July 1, 2025.
The board approved the use of a consent agenda format for its business and then proceeded through a sequence of appointments and designations for the coming fiscal year. The elections and clerk appointment were recorded as motions and carried by unanimous vote.
