O'Brien County canvasses Nov. 4 city election results, declares winners in multiple towns

"The Board, as a Board of Canvassers, canvassed the results of the City/School Elections that were held on November 4, 2025 with the following declared elected," the minutes state; the board then read winners for multiple municipalities.
Declared municipal winners included Archer Mayor Steven Meyer; Archer councilmembers Vanessa Harig, Jeremy Engel and Gary Stangeland; Calumet Mayor Michael N. Jensen and councilmembers Gloria Schueder and Andrew Lichter (and council vacancy filled by Jon Novak); Hartley Mayor Rodney Ahrenstorff and councilmembers Val Moermond, Nick Steuben and Darla Meyer (with a council vacancy listed for Drew Sweeney); Paullina Mayor Marlin Sjaarda and councilmembers John Funkhouser and Roxanne Pottebaum; Primghar councilmembers Steve Wittrock, Aaron Giese and Sean Michael Scroggin; Sanborn Mayor Daniel Verrips and councilmembers Larry Reitsma and Stefan Sybesma; Sutherland Mayor Tyler Draper and councilmembers David Mills and Jami Webster. The minutes also recorded a Sheldon 2nd Ward seat won by Tom Eggers. One Sheldon-at-large result will be finalized at a later canvass when Sioux County returns are posted.
