The board approved payment of $106,690 to Court Street Ford for two 2025 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles and separately approved $23,497.40 to Fleet Safety Supply to upfit the vehicles.
"Police Department is seeking approval to purchase and subsequently pay for the amount of $106,690 to Court Street Ford for the purchase of 2 2025 police vehicle interceptors," the police chief told the board, noting the price includes the Ford Premium Care extended warranty. On the upfits, the chief said some equipment changes are necessary because Ford changed the Explorer's interior design and certain prior equipment will not fit, explaining "So that's why it's 23,497." The purchases were approved by motion and roll call.
