The Shirland School District No. 134 Board of Education approved a renewal waiver to meet the School Codeschool-improvement requirement for the 2025–26 calendar year in two full days instead of four and a half partial days. President Hall opened a public hearing at 6:14 p.m.; the board voted to submit the waiver application following discussion.
The motion to submit the application was made by Mr. Bartlett and seconded by Mrs. Rhyner and passed 6 yeas with member Hoff recorded as absent. The waiver must be renewed every five years under the School Code and will be filed in accordance with district procedure.
