Glassport Borough Council voted to advertise the Sidewalk Reconstruction Project for the east side of the 600 block of Monongahela Avenue through the Multimodal Transportation Grant program.
Borough Manager Elaina Skiba told council that utility work on Monongahela Avenue could delay the sidewalk project, but because an accurate timeframe for utilities was not available the council still approved advertising the project. The motion (Stecak second Miskanin) passed unanimously (Yes–7, No–0).
No construction firm or bid award was announced; council directed staff to move forward with the grant advertisement and to monitor utility-company scheduling that could affect the project's start date.
