The Harnett County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 3 approved a request from the county tax administrator to seek permission to collect all real, personal and public-service company taxes for the 2026–2027 levy years and to pursue delinquent taxes dating from 2016 through 2026.
"A request from the tax administrator to seek permission to collect all real personal and public service company taxes for the 2026, 2027 levy year and the collection of delinquent taxes from 2016 to 2026," the meeting recap said. The board verbally recorded approval of the request during the meeting.
