The Town of Campbell Board voted on Feb. 9 to place a $50,000 down payment in 2026 on a 2025 International truck to reduce the five-year financing rate to 5.54% on the remaining balance of $63,213.40.
The motion, made by Michael Austin and seconded by Les Smith, was adopted by roll call vote (Ayes 5 / Nays 0 / Abstains 0). The Highway Superintendent, Tony Harris, also reported that the Highway Department assisted the Water Department with a water main break on Wendell Circle and had the CAT dozer appraised. The minutes record Harris thanking Michael Austin for a salt donation and Wendy Oman for arranging Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight credit cards for the department.
The board also agreed to list vehicle T-3 for sale on Auctions International; no reserve price or sale timetable was included in the minutes.
