Shorewood issues proclamations and schedules community events for May–June 2025

Mayor Clarence DeBold read proclamations recognizing National Public Works Week (May 18–24, 2025), National Police Week (May 11–17, 2025) and Building Safety Month (May 2025), and announced that Shorewood received Tree City USA recognition and a growth award from the Arbor Day Foundation.
Public works staff (Norell) said the department will host an open house on May 31 with facility tours, a touch-a-truck activity and refreshments. Parks staff (Katie) asked residents to note Memorial Day ceremonies (May 26) and upcoming summer events including Party in the Parks starting June 5 and a barbecue and brews event on June 7. The board also heard a community-policing fundraiser announcement.
