The Village of Kirkland approved Ordinance 2026-06 on March 16, 2026, authorizing disposal of Public Works surplus material through bids or auction. The approval followed a motion from Trustee Fruit and a second from Trustee Chambers, and passed on a voice vote.
Trustee Fruit asked that the village "use detailed descriptions and good pictures of the items for sale." Meeting packet attachments list specific equipment proposed for sale, including a 1995 sewer jetting trailer, a 1990 Grumman step van, multiple Toro mowers, a generator trailer, an oil tank trailer, and various tailgates and bumpers. The auction list and miscellaneous-item inventory were provided to the trustees as part of meeting materials.
Staff said they will proceed with sale procedures in accordance with the adopted ordinance and will include descriptive information and photos as requested by trustees.
