Jennifer Vargo, the human resources director, told the committee the city had engaged Bell Sage Partners to assist with Workday payroll issues after freezing the payroll-supervisor position. "So we are asking for a $50,000 spend authority increase for Bell Sage," Vargo said, adding that the money is available within the HR budget and thus no overall budget increase is being requested.
Vargo described Bell Sage's role in addressing fire-pay methodology changes and continuing payroll fixes and said staff will bring future grant-related amendments together to streamline approvals. A motion to recommend TMP 3737 to full council for approval was seconded and passed by roll-call vote.
