Residents tell trustees permitting Shepherd's Canyon could set unwanted precedent

During the public comment period, several neighbors urged trustees to deny Shepherd's Canyon's application or to at least impose strict conditions. Trustees and staff responded during the meeting by clarifying the village's authority under the zoning code and noting that special-use permits are discretionary; they also acknowledged steps to improve public notifications for future hearings.
