Residents told the Town Board at its Sept. 11 meeting that the Flat Creek Solar application contained incorrect details affecting nearby properties.
"Cordelio will also have another public information meeting at the Canajoharie Fire Department Meeting room on October 15th from 7-9 pm," Deputy Town Supervisor Michael Muhlebeck said, noting the applicant filed with the state and sent copies of the application to the Town of Canajoharie, the Town of Root and the Canajoharie Library.
Resident Susan Mallery said the application included errors around her property and was advised to consult her own attorney and then the Town Attorney if needed. Claude Pietrowicz also said the Bike Bath route was not listed on the Flat Creek Solar Inventory of Aesthetic Resources and raised general concerns about nearby dilapidated houses.
The board indicated the Canajoharie Planning Board will review the state filing and invited written questions or comments to be submitted to that board. The deputy supervisor emphasized the multi-municipal review and public process ahead of any local decisions.
