Residents raise accessibility and agricultural concerns; council proclaims Immigrant Heritage Month

"I've been in email contact with Marco Morley, who is the facility administrator," Lanzel said, explaining that the current system requires pressing a recessed pen‑tip and often fails to connect.
Dina Long described a regional hay shortage and offered a hydroponic barley/wheat fodder as a supplemental feed option, bringing samples and offering follow‑up contact. Later in the meeting the council joined the Salt Lake County mayor in proclaiming June 2026 as Immigrant Heritage Month; a mayor's office representative read the proclamation and at least one council member asked that proclamation language be circulated earlier in future agendas for review.
The council thanked the public commenters and directed staff and relevant officials to follow up on the Oxbow visitation center complaints.
