Short-term outcomes from Year 1 included developing a shared understanding of behavioral expectations and increasing staff awareness of how trauma affects learning.
Year 2 priorities emphasize building teacher and staff self-efficacy for addressing student behavior, reducing disruptive incidents that affect learning, and increasing student attendance and engagement. Principals described complementary goals: the elementary will expand student mediations and checks for understanding; the Jr./Sr. High will pursue SEL/restorative practices, tiered instruction, and increased student voice.
Administrators framed these goals as part of a multi-year effort to align curriculum vertically and improve student outcomes; follow-up and progress monitoring will occur through building-level data and committee oversight.
