At its May 28 meeting the Shirland School District No. 134 Board of Education approved a series of routine renewals and agreements intended to support district operations and student services. The board approved renewals for medical, dental and life insurance policies, as well as property and workers’ compensation coverage; minutes record the motions carried by roll call. The board also approved renewal of the KP Counseling contract for 2025–26 and approved an EB Academics grant to purchase the ELA All Access Suite for grades 5–8 to support ELA instruction. "Roll call, all ayes," the minutes state after the motions.
Board members also approved disposition of old furniture via a recycling/disposal resolution and authorized the superintendent to work with Helm on adjustments to a preventative‑maintenance contract for building systems. The minutes do not specify premium amounts, contract terms or grant dollar values; those figures are recorded as "not specified" in the board record and would require follow‑up with district business office for financial detail.
