Sam Holmes, representing the Shirland PTO, reported to the board that the World Famous Chocolate Fundraiser produced over $3,000 in profit after selling 147 boxes. Holmes said proceeds have funded recent PTO contributions to the school library, items for Teacher Appreciation Week and support for the spring musical.
Holmes also reported the PTO approved a Pi-Day Pirate mini grant to purchase a copy of a book for each family in the district.
