The Comanche County Excise Board acknowledged and recorded several intra‑department transfers during its May 11, 2026 meeting in Lawton.
Among the largest shifts, the board recorded a transfer of $30,000 from the Sheriff benefits account to Sheriff M&O and a $33,800 transfer from Free Fair premiums/awards to Free Fair M&O. County clerk, assessor and highway budget lines were also adjusted: the Assessor moved multiple small balances (including $480 from M&O and $1,700 from travel) into assessor capital outlay, and CIRB allocations for District 1 included adjustments to CIRB‑MV District 1 M&O totaling $30,451.65 and a smaller $40.94 transfer from leases to M&O.
The transfers were presented as part of routine budget housekeeping. The minutes list a broad set of fund changes across General and Highway accounts and related special funds including Assessor Revolving Fee, County Clerk preservation, Juvenile Detention Center and others. No board member raised objections in the recorded minutes. The board’s action was recorded in the meeting minutes and acknowledged by the chair.
