Jail administrator: 188 inmates at Comanche County detention center; five transfers to DOC

David Weber, Jail Administrator, reported the Comanche County Detention Center population as of May 1, 2026: 188 inmates, comprised of 134 males and 54 females. Weber told the Authority that five inmates were ready to be sent to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and that five inmates were transferred to DOC during the week leading up to the meeting.
Weber also noted population distribution across facilities: 200 inmates at CCDC and 121 inmates held at other counties, for a combined total of 321 inmates. Commissioner Ryan John observed a reduction of about 40 inmates attributed to a jury docket; Weber confirmed that explanation. The figures were presented as part of the jail administrator's weekly report to the board.
