Lucerne Valley Unified board elects Jason as president, Jessica as vice president

The Lucerne Valley Unified School District board reorganized its leadership at its December meeting, electing Jason as board president and Jessica as vice president.
"I'd like to make a motion that we move to Jason as president and Jessica as vice president," a board member said, and the nomination was seconded and approved unanimously. The clerk will remain in place through the rotation. Board members explained the district rotates meeting leadership to give each trustee an opportunity to preside; Jason is scheduled to run the next board meeting.
Trustees praised outgoing meeting leadership and thanked members who served. The reorganization occurs during the district's annual December reorganization required by Education Code sections cited by staff at the meeting. There was no public opposition during the vote.
