Officials question a $4,300 utility bill and whether solar payments continue

A member asked whether it was "really true" that the government electric bill was $4,300 for a county facility and said the building's electric bill appeared to be "twice as much as it is for the courthouse." "Is it is it really true that the electric bill with this government bill was $4,300?" the Chair asked.
Justin and other members discussed whether the county still owes payments to the solar contractor; one participant noted that during the solar transition the county may be paying both solar contract installments and electricity charges. "So we're paying solar plus we're paying... Plus that," one speaker said, and the board directed staff to request the vendor report and reconcile billing.
Members agreed to ask the vendor (identified later as Rick Anderson of Verigee) for a report to clarify charges, timing and whether the county is simultaneously incurring electric utility and solar contract payments.
