The Town Board discussed updating the Town Dog Law to permit multiple-year dog license renewals (one, two or three years) at its May 13 meeting.
Scot Lueck, serving as DCO in the presentation, told the board that New York State now requires the rabies vaccine to cover the entire year of any multi‑year license; town licensing software will be updated at the end of May to prevent entry of renewals that do not meet that requirement. Lueck said he will provide additional proposed updates and the board agreed to review the law in its entirety.
