He also identified a property at the corner of County Routes 18 and 23 with an “abundance of garbage” creating health concerns and said, because the matter is not a County Code issue, the case is being turned over to the Town.
Supervisor Bruce Giuda said he will look into available options. Barbara Lilley reported that all local election positions (Supervisor, Highway Superintendent, Clerk, Tax Collector) are running unopposed. Jim Polhemus sought clarification about whether the Town pays cleanup costs up front; the minutes say the Town would pay initially and could add the cost to the owner's tax bill the following year.
