Fire chief: delaminated concrete prompts change order for station rehab

The chief explained that the recommended option is a partial-depth replacement of about 1,000 square feet; staff said option 1 — removing contiguous stretches rather than patching small isolated areas — would reduce the price per square foot from about $136 to roughly $105, simplify work and improve warranty coverage. "Upon their inspection of the floor, they identified areas of the floor that they felt the waterproof adhesive top would not adhere to, and they would not warranty the work at that point," the chief said.
