The Hampton School Board on Aug. 5 presented a slate of leadership appointments for the 2026–27 school year, recognizing new principals, assistant principals and interim division curriculum leaders.
Dr. Burrow introduced several elementary and instructional leadership appointments, noting Sandra Taylor as principal of Kraft Elementary School and Sierra Ware as principal of Peak Elementary School. Jeremy Saunders was welcomed as an assistant principal at Andrews PK–8, Daniel Craig as assistant principal at Phoenix PK–8, and Jennifer Richardson as assistant principal at Armstrong School of the Arts.
Miss Pollard presented secondary appointments, naming Heather Woodruff as an academy principal at Phoebus High School, Maurice Horton as a high‑school academy principal at Hampton High School, and Portia Moody as an assistant principal at Benjamin Sims Middle School. Interim division leaders Michelle Finney (interim director of curriculum, instruction and assessment) and Ashley O’Malley (interim math curriculum leader) were also introduced.
