Shorewood pension board removes officer, approves $76,821.62 portability transfer to Joliet

The motion to remove Jeffrey W. Gersch Jr. was made by Paul Hertzman and seconded by Chris Drey; a roll-call vote recorded Hertzman-yea, Drey-yea and Butcher-yea. The portability transfer motion, moved by Hertzman and seconded by Drey, carried by the same roll-call votes. The minutes enter the transfer amount as $76,821.62 and name the receiving plan as the Joliet Police Pension Fund.
Board members present for the votes were Paul Hertzman, Chris Drey and Sergeant James Butcher. The minutes list Detective Kevin Frazier and Kim Giugler as absent. No public speakers or guests addressed the motions during the meeting.
