County seeks $5 million BUILD grant for Highway 411 preliminary engineering

S2 said the county's share would be a 10% match, to be split with the City of Moody, and that staff met recently in Washington with the congressional delegation and grant program staff to discuss the application.
S3 noted the project would be large and that the delegation appeared receptive; S2 described the application as having “a really good shot” after a robust question-and-answer session with grant reviewers. The commission received the update with appreciation and did not record further debate; staff will proceed with the application process and coordinate match arrangements with Moody.
