The board approved sending a revised letter, prepared by District Attorney Brian Hermanson, on behalf of Ody’s Sports Bar (3700 Lake Road, Ponca City) to the Oklahoma ABLE Commission. DA Hermanson advised the county should not state approval or authorization in the letter; instead the letter will state that Kay County does not have zoning, building, safety, or health ordinances and will include the Kay County Zoning Resolutions.
Clerk Tammy Reese said she would include the county’s Zoning Resolutions with the submission. The motion to send the revised letter was made by Jason Shanks and seconded by Jeff Kreger and carried unanimously. The board did not take any action beyond approving the submission of the revised letter.
