Volunteers request HEPA purifiers for History Room; board to coordinate cleaning

Councilmember Michele Brown reported that volunteers are inventorying holdings in the History Room and that the Town Historian requested air purifiers to reduce dust and protect volunteers’ health. Brown said two air purifiers are already in the room and that the cleaner has agreed to clean the space; the clerk will follow up regarding the cleaner and the use of a HEPA vacuum.
Brown also noted a space heater had been found plugged in; Supervisor Mark Witmer suggested volunteers use the wall thermostat at the judges’ bench to heat the room instead of space heaters. No formal motion or purchase authorization was recorded in these minutes.
